His most popular mural "460 Years of Chicano History" hangs at the Victor Clothing Company in Los Angeles. The mural captures the evolution of Mexican and Chicano history from the Olmecs to the Chicano Civil Rights Movement of the '60s. This mural became so popular that was used for a cover of a Chicano Studies textbook, greeting cards, and is widely distributed as a poster. Born in Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, Plascencia's family moved to California where he attended Alisal High School in Salinas, California. He also attended San Jose State and Cal State Northridge majoring in Chicano Studies and Art. He is presently living in El Paso, Texas where he works on developing a variety of creative projects in painting murals and posters.
